Toxic Fashion — Wrapping Your Body In An Dangerous Environmental and Health Nightmare

Toxic dyes used in the creation of high fashion clothing are contributing to a global pollution crisis that will have deadly consequences for both the environment and human health. A study performed by Greenpeace involved examining the clothing from 20 international fashion labels to determine the chemicals used during their manufacturing process. The results showed that the vast majority tested positive for a lethal cocktail of chemicals such as nonylphenol ethoxylates, which breakdown to form toxic hormone-disrupting chemicals, toxic phthalates which are hazardous to unborn fetuses, and a carcinogenic compound known as ‘amine’. Greenpeace also collected water samples from rivers … Continue reading Toxic Fashion — Wrapping Your Body In An Dangerous Environmental and Health Nightmare

Don’t Think Back

We all do it. When something in our life goes wrong or doesn’t work out the way we want it to, we have this compulsion to continually think about. For some of us, we can become quite obsessed about it. We talk to other people about it. We search the internet. We have intimate dialogues in our head as we analyze it. Rationalize it. Defend our behaviours. We even have imaginary conversations with those individuals who we deemed have wronged us. Round and round we go. It doesn’t matter whether it is a failed relationship, a job loss, a dismal … Continue reading Don’t Think Back

It Is Wrong To Work For Government

I could probably think up more examples, but … I don’t see any NAP violation, at least as such, in taking any of the above jobs.” It is very wrong, dear reader. It’s just that most people don’t realize it — because … Continue reading It Is Wrong To Work For Government

Porn is Making Men Impotent

A number of men reported increasing difficulty in being turned on by their actual sexual partners, spouses or girlfriends, though they still considered them objectively attractive. When I asked if this phenomenon had any relationship to viewing pornography, they answered that it initially helped them get more excited during sex but over time had the opposite effect. Now, instead of using their senses to enjoy being in bed, in the present, with their partners, lovemaking increasingly required them to fantasize that they were part of a porn script. Some gently tried to persuade their lovers to act like porn stars, … Continue reading Porn is Making Men Impotent
