Why Aren’t ISIS and Al-Qaeda Attacking Israel?

By Brandon Turbeville With the recent slaughter of Palestinians taking place on television screens across the world, only the grossly misinformed would believe that Israel’s Palestinian extermination program is actually “self-defense.” Yet for all of Israel’s whining about how it is being targeted by “Islamic extremists” and “terrorists,”(which should be translated to mean Palestinians, Iran, or any other secular or nationalist Arab government in the region) there is a curious and deafening silence when it is confronted with actual terrorists and Muslim fanatics such as ISIS, al-Nusra, and the myriad of other fundamentalist groups waging jihad in Syria and Iraq. … Continue reading Why Aren’t ISIS and Al-Qaeda Attacking Israel?

Why is the Milky Way blowing bubbles? Portrait of strange structures revealed – but scientists still can’t explain their source

The Milky Way is blowing huge, mysterious ‘Fermi’ bubbles that stretch for tens of thousands of light years . Scientists have created a data-based ‘portrait’ of two massive bubbles . These Fermi bubbles, they claim, glow in nearly uniform gamma rays . They appear like two 30,000-light-year bulbs screwed into galaxy’s centre . But according to astrophysical theories, these gamma ray bubbles shouldn’t be there, and scientists are still baffled by their presence By Ellie Zolfagharifard The Milky Way is blowing huge, mysterious bubbles that stretch for tens of thousands of light years. How Israel Used Its Own Civilians as Human Shields While Assaulting Gaza

By Max Blumenthal Israel’s military is enmeshed in civilian society Throughout the ongoing assault on the Gaza Strip, perhaps no phrase has featured as prominently or persistently in the lexicon of Israeli propaganda as “human shields.” Repeated in stentorian fashion by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and a heavily regimented army of 10,000 PR flacks, the phrase has been ruthlessly deployed to shield Israel from responsibility for the bloodbath it has caused in Gaza. Israel has killed 1,800 civilians in a matter of weeks, including some 430 children, but it was Hamas that forced them to do it. Like so many … Continue reading How Israel Used Its Own Civilians as Human Shields While Assaulting Gaza

The Perils Faced by My Atheist Family in Our God-Obsessed Community

By Julie Drizin My children are surrounded by other kids’ prayers and patriotism, but I’m determined to teach them to ignore it. “Goddammit!” “God bless you!” “For God’s sake!” “God forbid!” My children have heard me take “the Lord’s name in vain.” These expressions slip out as easily as expletives and are part of my vernacular, even though I don’t believe in God. God is not exactly welcome in our home. I’m not a hater (at least not anymore). I’m an atheist. My daughters know I’m the tooth fairy; they have no use for Santa Claus; and would consider the … Continue reading The Perils Faced by My Atheist Family in Our God-Obsessed Community

What You Need to Do to Survive Ebola BEFORE the Panic Starts

by Mac Slavo The Ebola virus is spreading and no one in any position of authority is releasing information to the public about how serious of a contagion this is.
